Clarity in the body has become a practice of contact and connection. Using the physical practice of yoga to regenerate energy versus exhaust excess energy.

Clarity in my mind and intellect is about knowing the right time to do work, go outside, and have meetings. Hours hold different types of productivity. We all have different natures, so how your hours work for you in your schedule will vary, but knowing how my mind and intellect pattern throughout the day changed the way I scheduled myself.
Here are a few examples:
Early morning time is my time of clarity. From 5a-7a is the time to work on innovative ideas, writing, studying, and writing curriculum. I do my best to stay out of email during this time of the day.
Mid morning is for emails, still more creative work and curriculum building, and movement.
Late morning to late afternoon is when I schedule the majority of my meetings knowing that my quiet mind has been pulled in a lot of directions so it is most productive for me to spend time in conversation and communication with others.
Late afternoon to early evening is for teaching or being with Penelope and Shiloh. I typically do not have childcare during this time. It is the most tiring time of the day, so I do my best to plan an activity or go for a walk. Some days I need to sneak a meeting in, but usually I do not have the help to add more work hours.
If I plan my schedule well, the clarity and alignment in my personal life and work life work harmoniously. I did not understand this before having Penelope and Shiloh because I could linger in any task as long as I liked, but typically, I was just overworking.
In tradition Vedic philosophy, they suggest 4a-7a as the study and contemplative time, 7a-7p as the doing time, and 7p-4a as the sleeping and resting time. Spend time reorganizing your schedule, test it, reflect how it makes a difference.
