The Art of Connecting: Hands-On Adjustments + Assists w/Elyse Brogdon

  • Citizen Yoga Bloomfield + Online 6400 Telegraph Road Bloomfield Hills, MI, 48301 United States (map)

IN-STUDIO + ONLINE

Offering safe and impactful hands-on adjustments in public classes of any pace is an essential skill for yoga teachers to transform their teaching from purely instructive to an informative and connective experience. Over the course of the weekend, you will:

Develop your relationship to touch. Understand the ethics and responsibility of offering physical adjustments. Build confidence in your capacity to move a body as a means of positively affecting someone’s practice. Gain comfortability using your own body as a vehicle for change.

Learn to observe students through the lens of connection instead of correction. Find ways to assimilate alignment-based knowledge into adjustments that are empowering instead of “fixing.”

Fill your toolbox of adjusting techniques. No complex set ups, no multi-person-multi-prop arrangements here. Learn very practical ways to incorporate hands-on techniques in every public class style, no matter the pace.

  • Saturday, Aug 9 | 12:30-5:30pm

  • Sunday, Aug 10 | 12:30-5:30pm

This workshop counts as 10 hours towards the Citizen Yoga 300HR Teacher Training and Impact programs. All modules are open to members of the public and other yoga teachers interested in continued education.

Price: $215
