Extended Practice: Somatic Yoga for the Subtle Body
Release holding patterns in the physical body through somatic movement. We'll use slow movements done in isolation and without force to build elasticity in the connective tissues. Done mostly on the floor, SATYA (Somatic Training for Yoga) involves sliding, gliding, stretching and unwinding movements. This class serves to open the prana, reduce fatigue, and bring vitality to every cell of the body.

Extended Practice: Standing in the Bones - Yoga for the Skeletal System
In yoga and qigong, the bones hold the vital essence of the body. In this class we build strength and vitality in the soft tissues in and around the bones. By load bearing in the bones we reduce the effects of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, increase stamina and find support for the spine. We'll do postures that release the hip joints, knees and ankles and practice standing poses to build resiliency in the bones.

3-hr Training: Nadis, Circulation and the Joints
In yoga, the nadis are described as rivers of energy that flow through the body. They are circulatory pathways of blood, lymph and nerve that flow through all the connective tissues. There are thousands of small tributaries throughout the body that move via arcs, curves, spirals and elliptical patterns. In this immersion, we do SATYA movements (Somatic Awareness Training) and yoga postures to increase circulation through all the tissues of the body. We use rocking, circular and spiral movements to release the fascia and joints of the body. When there is uninhibited flow through the currents of the nadis there is radiant health and longevity in the body.

Extended Practice: From Inside-Out - Practice for the Core
The aim of yoga practice is to build a strong yet pliable interior core. The challenge in yoga is to bring lightness and lift to the core without tightening or causing unnecessary constriction. One of the primary aims of this class is to mindfully build core stability. We do this through balancing poses for the arms and legs. This immersion helps cultivate the deepest vitality in the body while cultivating a feeling of levity and grace.

3-hr Training: The Crown Chakra and the Cranial Sacral Pulse
The cranial sacral rhythm passes from skull to spine to sacrum and informs the subtle movements of prana inside. In this class we bring awareness to the cranial bones, the connective tissues within the skull, and the subtle motion of the brain in order to support feather fine states of awareness. Tias begins by showing slides that capture both Eastern and Western perspectives on the cranial fluid and the crown chakra.
