Welcome to your Winter Challenge

The Brighten the Blues Yoga Challenge is designed to keep you moving, warm, and connected during the season of hibernation. 

Even when we know that winter is supposed to be cold, dark, and slow - and that we are meant to emulate that energy - it can be one of the most difficult times to support our mental health. By both embracing the patterns of nature (i.e. slowing down) and compensating for what the season lacks (i.e. wearing a warmer coat), we are able to live more balanced and with less agitation, giving us time to focus on the things that matter most.

Rather than using this challenge to “beat” the winter blues, we encourage you treat this week as an opportunity to build a harmonious relationship with the season. Learn how to warm yourself up in the cold, light yourself up in the dark, and find nourishment in human connection during an otherwise extremely introspective time.

Try a little bit of everything: a yin class on the days you need rest, a vinyasa on the days you feel cold, online philosophy when you’re open to self reflection.

For 7 days, we’ll practice alongside you on the mat and cheer you along here on the blog. Check back each day for new fodder to keep you inspired all week long, and leave a comment or encouragement to connect with other challenge participants.
